Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the CJ Rogers Concrete Company website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for a quote or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If a written estimate, proposal or contract for your job says something different from this page, the document for your job controls on that point. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us. You can always contact us with questions first.
What we do
CJ Rogers Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Rogers, AR, doing driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls, decorative and stamped concrete, and related work in Rogers and the cities around it. You can read more about who we are on our About page, and see the full list of services from our home page.
What's on this website is general information about concrete work. It isn't advice for your property, because every job depends on the soil, the drainage and the slab that's there now, and we only know those once we've seen the site.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, and there's no pressure to book. A quote is based on what we can see and measure that day, and it's good for the period stated on it, because material and labor costs change.
Some things only show up once the job is open, like soft or wet ground under the old slab, buried debris, roots, or old concrete thicker than it looked. If we find something like that, we'll stop, explain it and agree on any change in price with you before we do the added work.
Prices on the quote cover the work described on it. Anything you ask for later, such as a larger area, a different finish or extra steps, is priced separately.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a start date with you when you book, but concrete depends on the weather. Rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can make a pour unsafe for the finished slab, so we'll move the date when conditions call for it and tell you as early as we can.
If you need to change or cancel a scheduled job, call us at (479) 413-0106 as soon as you know. If we've already ordered materials, had concrete delivered or started work, you're responsible for those costs, and any other cancellation terms will be in the paperwork for your job.
Before we start, please clear the work area and let us know about anything underground we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, invisible pet fences or private power or gas lines to a shop or outbuilding. We aren't responsible for damage to hidden lines we weren't told about.
Payment
Payment amounts, due dates and accepted methods are set out in the estimate or contract for your job. If a deposit is required, the job is scheduled once it's received.
Final payment is due when the work is complete as described, unless your contract says otherwise. Unpaid balances may carry late fees or collection costs where Arkansas law allows, and we may hold further work until the account is current.
Caring for new concrete
New concrete needs time to cure, which means time to harden and gain strength before it carries weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and damage from using it sooner isn't covered by us.
Keep heavy equipment, dumpsters and trailers off new flatwork, meaning driveways, patios, walks and other slabs on the ground, unless we've said it was built for that load.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something isn't right with the work we did, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship.
Concrete can crack even when it's done right, because it shrinks as it dries and moves with the ground. We cut control joints, grooves that give cracks a planned place to form, but small hairline cracks, slight color differences between pours, and surface changes from weather are normal and aren't defects.
We aren't responsible for problems caused by things outside our control, such as soil settling under areas we didn't prepare, water from gutters or grading we didn't build, de-icing salts, tree roots, heavy loads, other contractors' work, or earth movement. Beyond what's written here and in your contract, we don't make other promises about the work, to the extent Arkansas law allows.
Limits on our liability
We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work as described above. Our total responsibility for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost use of your driveway, lost income or other consequential damages, to the extent the law allows. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under Arkansas law that can't be waived.
If we disagree
Call us first. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're standing at the job together, so give us a chance to look at it and respond before taking other steps.
If we still can't settle it, either of us may take the matter to the state or local courts serving Benton County, Arkansas, which is where any legal action about these terms or our work will be heard.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time. Changes apply from the day they're posted, and they don't change the terms of a job you've already signed for.
If you have a question about these terms, reach us through our Contact page or call (479) 413-0106. We're available every day from 8 AM to 9 PM, and we respond within 1 business day.
